The client had implemented Collibra DGC to govern complex business planning and general ledgers hierarchies used across its global applications with the goal of reducing risk and time-to-close. However, the initial implementation relied on manual inputs and back-end batch validations.\u202f Publishing and controlling the standards in the downstream applications continued to take 114 steps and eight days each month.\u202f The client also wanted assurance that their model was scalable.\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f\u202f<\/p>

The client asked Expleo to design an automated process that extended the Collibra platform to better manage master data system compliance and achieve a three day month-end close process. The solution must be capable of being the framework for governance expansion to other master data<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

  • Extended Collibra with a custom user interface to capture and validate complex governed hierarchy inputs previously manually maintained in Excel.<\/li>\n
  • Used a Collibra asset to store complex mapping relationships needed to automate the integration and validation between Collibra and Oracle DRM.<\/li>\n
  • Integrated real-time Oracle DRM views into the Collibra workflow screens, via API integrations, so that requesters could see the impact of their changes.<\/li>\n
  • Built custom workflows with integration to SharePoint, NAS drives for artifact management, Drools, and Oracle DRM.<\/li>\n
  • Created monthly staging versions in Collibra and Oracle DRM to enable cumulative queuing of multiple effective dated change requests.<\/li>\n
  • Optimised the client\u2019s Oracle DRM configuration and processing to simplify and shorten the month-end ingestion and control of Collibra standards.<\/li>\n
  • Advised the client on additional follow-on optimisation opportunities enabled by automation.<\/li>\n
  • Implemented and integrated the Drools business rule engine to enable real-time change request validations and eliminated back-end quality issues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
