Since 2019, Expleo has been working with the <\/span>DCC<\/span><\/a> to digitise the UK energy sector. During this period, we have worked with our partners to provide continuous improvement to a major transformation programme through the proactive use of programme and technical assurance.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The Data Communications Company (DCC) are delivering the core systems required for the <\/span>Ofgem-led Switching Programme<\/span><\/a>, that will allow customers to change energy suppliers faster and more reliably. Consumers will be able to switch their energy supply within 24 hours, leading to increased market competition that will encourage savings for consumers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Expleo is a the DCC in the design<\/span>, build and test phase of the programme, as the Core Systems Assurance partner, working with industry service providers and DCC\u2019s suppliers to ensure systems are functioning, changes are delivered according to timelines, and risks are identified and mitigated.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The current switching arrangements, developed in the late 1990s, are complex for suppliers and can lead to delays, errors, and costs, which are often borne by consumers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The DCC were looking to meet bold and ambitious targets with the support of a reliable and <\/span>innovative partner<\/span><\/a> to enable consumers to switch energy supplier more quickly and successfully.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Thanks to our long standing expertise within the energy sector, having worked with major players across the globe, Expleo provided programmatic and technical <\/span>assurance<\/span><\/a> to the delivery of the core systems, and additionally supported\u00a0 the delivery of a successful transition by assuring over 160 energy supply companies on behalf of Ofgem through our management consultancy arm of the business, Moorhouse Consulting.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
