The Rank Group Plc (Rank) is a leading European gaming-based entertainment company, with the standalone brands Grosvenor Casinos, Mecca Bingo and Enracha. The Group has been in operation for nearly 85 years.<\/span><\/p>\n

Working as the group\u2019s sole Quality Assurance partner, we developed an innate understanding of Rank\u2019s inner workings, IT infrastructure, platforms and processes. Rank has come to place great trust in Expleo\u2019s domain expertise and consistent proprietary methods for testing, integration, and technology roll-out within budget, and to deadline, over a successful 20-year relationship.<\/span>  <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This project was <\/span>established<\/span> to ensure Rank\u2019s games service offerings were congruent with recent UK Gambling Commission remote gambling and software technical standards (UKGC-RTS) compliance guidelines.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What is the Expleo solution? <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

As a first step, we performed a thorough impact assessment of UKGC-RTS requirements on the agreed game providers on the Rank brands Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Bingo.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

We conducted rigorous testing of Rank sites by considering integration with Bede (Backend) and Epi (Frontend) portals, while ensuring alignment with approximately 18 other third party game providers. We provided project management leadership and channelled the resources of all the teams towards the overarching project goal: to ensure all game providers maintain full compliance with UKGC-RTS guidelines.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Our Sprint and Core BAU regression teams conducted comprehensive end-to-end regression testing in accordance with the UKGC-RTS requirements and in line with Rank\u2019s expectations. The automation team carried out regular regression tests to check if existing features were working as desired. Our QA specialists designed test cases to facilitate 100% coverage across various platforms such as desktop, mobile, web and native\/wrapped apps. Our measured, proactive approach helped developers identify prospective granular-level challenges that might arise in the future.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our approach ensured that the game service offerings were UKGC compliant across Rank\u2019s major brands (Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Bingo). There was no loss of revenue caused by non-compliant or untested games having to be withdrawn.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The risk of Rank being fined by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) if they continued to offer gaming services while not being compliant was removed.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

In addition, there was no impact on user\u2019s customer experience; instead, an enhanced journey was implemented and presented to end users, resulting in no loss in customer retention.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our<\/span> experience gauging business preparedness for regulatory changes helped Rank adopt best practices that <\/span>would <\/span>yield <\/span>current and future <\/span>benefits. By executing a disciplined approach to testing, <\/span>we<\/span> integrated specific UKGC-RTS checks within the <\/span>r<\/span>egression pack, while ensuring the sustainability of the code for upcoming releases. <\/span>We<\/span> identified<\/span> potential regulatory vulnerabilities and provided Rank with the tools to uphold a culture of compliance going forward. Additionally, <\/span>we <\/span>streamlined Rank\u2019s defect management and resolution process, through in-testing defect identification.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
