The inspection of the inactive METEOSAT-8 weather satellite will take place 600km above GEO and will be conducted using onboard optical and radio frequency sensors to identify and confirm the satellite\u2019s status. With the number of satellites in space growing by 20% year-on-year according to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sia.org\/commercial-satellite-industry-continues-historic-growth-dominating-global-space-business-27th-annual-state-of-the-satellite-industry-report\/#:~:text=A%20total%20of%202%2C781%20commercial,phones%20and%20other%20terrestrial%20terminals.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Satellite Industry Association<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">1<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, this mission will provide insight and lessons for the maintenance of satellites post-launch, across their lifecycles.<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Expleo will provide its proven expertise in radio frequency engineering and onboard electronics to design, manufacture, test and validate the satellite payload to Infinite Orbits\u2019 specifications.
