Il mesure seulement 10x10x10cm et p\u00e8se \u00e0 peine plus de 1kg \u2013 il tient dans la paume des mains. Il int\u00e8gre \u00e9galement une antenne de six m\u00e8tres, qui se d\u00e9ploie apr\u00e8s le lancement, et un syst\u00e8me de cam\u00e9ra pour soutenir les missions de collecte de donn\u00e9es secondaires.<\/p><p>Une fois son antenne d\u00e9ploy\u00e9e, ENSO commencera officiellement sa mission principale\u00a0: une balise haute fr\u00e9quence permettra de mesurer l&#8217;ionosph\u00e8re, une partie tr\u00e8s active de la haute atmosph\u00e8re terrestre utilis\u00e9e pour soutenir les communications radio et par satellite. Les donn\u00e9es d&#8217;ENSO seront envoy\u00e9es aux stations terrestres SANSA situ\u00e9es en Antarctique. Ces donn\u00e9es seront utilis\u00e9es pour am\u00e9liorer notre compr\u00e9hension de l&#8217;impact de l&#8217;activit\u00e9 solaire sur notre atmosph\u00e8re.<\/p><p>ENSO combine l&#8217;expertise d&#8217;Expleo en termes d&#8217;ing\u00e9nierie syst\u00e8mes, de conception \u00e9lectronique et logiciel embarqu\u00e9e, de qualit\u00e9 et d&#8217;assemblage, d&#8217;int\u00e9gration et de test (AIT), avec les connaissances et l&#8217;exp\u00e9rience du CSUM en mati\u00e8re de lancement de nanosatellites. ENSO a \u00e9t\u00e9 test\u00e9 sur le pot vibrant et dans la chambre \u00e0 vide thermique du CSUM, ces moyens sont sp\u00e9cialement adapt\u00e9s aux tests d&#8217;environnement des nanosatellites.<\/p><p><strong>Jeff Hoyle, EVP \u2013 Global Aero, Space and Defence, Expleo, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 :<\/strong> <br \/>\u00ab\u00a0<em>Les nanosatellites sont l&#8217;incarnation de la r\u00e9volution du NewSpace &#8211; un moyen robuste et rentable pour mettre la puissance de l&#8217;exploration et de la surveillance de l&#8217;espace entre les mains d&#8217;un large public.
