Who is the client?
One of the world’s largest aerospace manufacturers.
What was the problem?
Like most major aerospace manufacturers, our client sources thousands of parts and materials from external suppliers. To meet industry regulations, they need to prove everything they receive is compliant and from an approved manufacturer.
But that was proving a huge undertaking. Our client was conducting all their non-compliance checks manually, which involved sifting through vast amounts of supplier data (an error-prone and time-consuming process).
What was the Expleo solution?
The goal was clear — to eliminate such a heavy reliance on manual data analysis. Working with our client, we conducted a Root Cause Analysis of their compliance processes and reviewed their non-conforming parts and materials.
We then introduced an automated solution into their existing data platform, which was able to review supplier data and identify potential product discrepancies. In addition, we built advanced dashboarding and reporting capabilities to further improve data visibility and analysis.
How did that help?
Automation has transformed how our client approaches non-conformity management. It’s relieving the burden of manual data analysis (on thousands of parts and materials), and flags discrepancies that were harder to spot through human analysis.
What were the results ?
Our client now has a robust system that has:
- Eliminated dependency on manual non-conformity checks.
- Helped identify discrepancies that might otherwise have been missed.
- Freed up their teams to focus on higher-value tasks.
- Ensured the company meets industry compliance standards.
Could it work for me?
If you have a complex supply chain, and you’re relying on manual data collection or analysis, automation could deliver the kind of benefits mentioned above. Our cross-industry expertise also means we can take the insights we’ve gained in aerospace and apply them to your sector.
Automation can have a transformative impact on supply chain management. For instance, we’ve helped aerospace manufacturers use it to boost efficiency and improve parts traceability, so they can move faster and better adhere to industry compliance standards.
