Expleo is the new partner of a German automotive manufacturer for a strategically significant (Hardware-in-the-Loop) HiL testing project spanning a wide range of domains and departments. What was the challenge?
The OEM faced the challenge of making the system validation of the current vehicle generation and upcoming Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs) more efficient and future-proof – all under increasing innovation and cost pressure as well as growing system complexity. The OEM’s requirements were intended to set new benchmarks in HiL testing and had to be mapped within an integrated model: high scalability, unification of test processes across many departments, integration of best shore models and AI support.
What was the Expleo solution?
Expleo impressed with a holistic, innovation-driven system validation approach based on four pillars:
- Technical excellence in HiL system validation across all vehicle platforms and functions – from driving functions and energy management to charging systems, Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Highly Automated Driving (HAD) and high-voltage safety.
- Scalable best shore model, operating from the outset with 50% excellence centres in India and Egypt and 50% onsite in Germany, with a continuous increase towards a 75% BCC share.
- Cross-departmental synergies: realisation of cross-domain synergy effects across numerous specialist departments.
- AI-based testing as an additional differentiating factor to establish a new process standard for the future using internal AI tools such as ExpleoSophia.
