Formed in 2017, when Assystem Technologies acquired Software Quality Systems AG (SQS), Expleo has grown rapidly, partnering with dozens of clients across 14 industries including aerospace, automotive, energy and utilities to deliver engineering and quality assurance services.

With continued growth and new partnership agreements with the likes of Spirit AeroSystems in its aerospace division and Elexon in energy and utilities, Expleo expects to create 120 roles at its UK head-office in Preston in 2022 and a further 610 posts across its sites in London, Derby, Belfast and Bristol.

Jeff Hoyle, EVP Global Aero, Space & Defence and Managing Director, Expleo, UK, said: “We’re committed to investing in UK talent and building on the proud tradition of engineering and technology excellence we have in the UK. This next phase in our growth will see us create 730 roles this year, as we match high calibre talent to client demand for our services.”

Reflecting its blend of engineering and technology services, opportunities with Expleo span Mechanical Design to Software Engineering and Scrum Masters to Marine Engineers.

Hoyle said: “Expleo is a dynamic place to be right now, with great opportunities for tech experts and engineers who want to build skills across industries and clients.

“Our engineers may start with us on a commercial aerospace programme, but their next project could be in marine. And similarly in a tech role, team members could be delivering digital transformation for a leading bank one month and developing software for a major retailer the next.”

The company also offers employees an enhanced training and development experience. Hoyle explains: “I started out as a manufacturing engineer and know just how important the right support is to professional growth, that’s why we’ve launched an in-house Career Development Programme that’s open to those in the first few years of their career with us, as well as ramping up our graduate intake and core L&D programme.”
