Engineering and technology for a more eco-responsible space industry
Expleo boasts proven expertise in the space sector across many key competencies, including advanced engineering, propulsion, complex satellite systems and nanosatellite design, assembly, test and integration of on-board systems. In December 2023, Expleo launched its own nanosatellite, ENSO (Expleo Nanosatellite for Solar irradiance Observation), which is currently conducting a four-year mission to monitor solar activity and its impact on the Earth’s atmosphere.
All solutions developed by Expleo are designed to improve competitiveness and reliability. Furthermore, Expleo supports the sector’s transition to a more responsible future and recently committed to a less polluted space by signing the European Space Agency’s ‘Zero Debris’ charter.
At Space Tech Expo Europe, Expleo will be presenting:
- ExpleoLissaTM software-defined nanosatellite: A bespoke solution for space payloads providing low-cost computing power and in-orbit reconfiguration for mission flexibility post-launch, including connectivity, natural disaster warnings, and relaying critical civil or military information. ExpleoLissaTM is assembled, tested and integrated in Expleo’s own 300m2 clean room, operated in partnership with Sotrem SEO, who will also be present on Expleo’s stand. See the latest video.
- Digitalisation & cybersecurity in space: A range of solutions for image analysis, anomaly detection, generative AI and business intelligence applied to the space industry will be on display. Expleo has created a partnership with CYSEC, to protect systems from cyber-attacks on the ground, in space and on interconnections.
- Eco-design for space: Expleo will present its methodological approach to the eco-design of space industry equipment and products, controlling environmental impact from the design and development phases through to end-of-life.
