The challenge
A leading credit risk and information services provider relied heavily on manual testing processes and specialist knowledge. Jira change requests required detailed analysis, domain expertise and access to complex technical documentation, making testing increasingly difficult to scale as change volumes grew.
Although automation was already in place, converting manual test cases into automated scripts remained time-consuming. Existing tools, including early AI solutions, lacked the flexibility to integrate with established workflows. The organisation needed a scalable testing approach that could reduce manual effort while fitting seamlessly into existing processes
The solution
Expleo assessed the existing testing landscape and identified where AI could deliver the greatest value across the testing lifecycle. We then developed a customised AI-powered testing framework tailored to the organisation’s processes, tooling and quality standards. Existing documentation from Confluence is ingested into a central knowledge base, while Jira tickets are automatically analysed and classified to extract relevant testing information. AI-generated test cases provide structured test scenarios, and built-in analytics support gap analysis, duplicate detection and quality reviews.
The framework also supports automation readiness through agentic AI capabilities that can navigate applications, map interfaces and convert manual test cases into executable Playwright or Selenium scripts.
