Who is the client?
Our client is a major German automotive OEM with complex Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing requirements, where embedded software and functions for ADAS are validated. They process large volumes of continuous test reports that require meticulous analysis to maintain quality standards.
What was the problem?
The client faced significant challenges with their test analysis workflow. Engineers spent excessive time manually analysing test reports filled with numerical data. These Excel-based methods were time-consuming and error-prone. Identifying patterns across multiple reports was difficult, and the process lacked the sophistication needed to quickly pinpoint issues in specific test areas. So, a key aim of the project was to improve the process and free up time for value-adding tasks.
What was the Expleo solution?
We developed an AI-powered test analysis tool specifically tailored to the client’s testing environment and reporting needs. The solution utilises Microsoft’s OpenAI Large Language Model (LLM) Service hosted in Azure and operates on a cloud-based platform while maintaining strict data security protocols. Our tool enables intuitive interaction with test data through natural language queries, automatically aggregating information from multiple test reports while identifying patterns and anomalies more efficiently than manual methods. The project was developed through close collaboration between our local Expleo team in Germany and our technical implementation specialists in India.
In addition to the technical challenges, the legal aspect was essential. The project team had to ensure that the application complied with the strict requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the EU’s AI law. All data remains in a secured cloud environment managed by Expleo, with complete deletion capabilities to ensure compliance.
