The challenge

Allianz Business System is the platform behind 65 million insurance policies across 35 countries. At that scale, quality assurance is existential. Every release cycle generated 6,000 to 7,000 test failures – each requiring manual analysis before defect logging could even begin. With four releases a year, 40,000+ regression test cases to manage, and a ~20% test failure rate that was structural rather than incidental, the process had reached its limit. The operation needed a fundamental rethink, not more of the same.

The solution

After 15 years as Allianz’s assurance partner, we understood the platform and its pressure points better than anyone. We rebuilt the intelligence behind it rather than patching the process. A centralised Failure Analysis Dashboard replaced manual triage, giving teams real-time visibility of failures and root causes. An AI-powered chatbot running on OpenAI Large Language Models (LLMs) enabled instant failure classification and guided resolution without a human in the loop for every case. AI-driven Log Trend Analysis surfaced patterns across test runs before they became incidents. Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot accelerated test creation and maintenance. All tools ran within Allianz’s own infrastructure, with no data leaving their control.
